Imagery

“xī” is evening, “lán” the mist on a mountain. A dusty rose, the colour of a hillside at dusk.

Origin

Major Heat is the hottest term of the year. Its palette is a single muted rose, opening with the softest — heat seen at a distance, the hills muffled in rose-coloured haze, the colour cooled by the hour.
