Developing a Cross-Cultural Programme Between a Botanical Garden and a Chinese Region
Kew Garden × Yunnan
A bilingual programme document that lets two institutions approve a cross-cultural week.
1The Challenge
Bringing a Chinese regional cultural programme into a major British botanical garden requires much more than a schedule: venue constraints, bilingual interpretation, partner sign-off on both sides and a presentation that works for institutional stakeholders in two languages. Without a structured programme document, the concept could not be reviewed or approved by the parties involved.
2Our Approach
Programme Development
Structured the cultural week into a bilingual programme covering content, venue usage, schedule and participants.
Bilingual Editorial
Produced Chinese and English versions so both sides reviewed the same plan.
Partner Liaison
Iterated versions with stakeholders through multiple review rounds.
What We Delivered
Why It Worked
“Cross-border cultural projects stall on mutual understanding. Keeping one bilingual programme document as the single source of truth means every stakeholder reviews the same content, not a translation of it.”
