Building Chinese Content and PR Momentum for a Sensitive-Skin Skincare Brand
Balmonds
A Chinese content library that answers sensitive-skin questions and supports PR coverage.
1The Challenge
Sensitive-skin skincare sells on trust and ingredient explanation, and in China that trust is built through content rather than advertising. Chinese consumers researching dry, irritated or reactive skin need patient, non-promotional answers before they will consider a niche brand. Without an owned body of Chinese content, the brand depended on retail listings and could not build the credibility that category requires.
2Our Approach
Problem-Led Content
Wrote Chinese articles targeting the conditions buyers search for, from dry and itchy skin to sensitivity and scalp care.
Product Education
Connected product choice to each condition without reading as an advert, keeping the tone clinical and reassuring.
PR Cadence
Maintained a weekly PR tracker so outreach and coverage could be reviewed on a regular cycle.
What We Delivered
Why It Worked
“In sensitive skin, buyers self-diagnose before they shop. Answering the condition first and the product second is what earns the right to be considered.”
